Does Thailand's TDAC need a photo? No, it just reads your passport
No. The Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) at tdac.immigration.go.th has no photo upload step for the standard registration every foreign traveler completes. You either scan your passport's machine-readable zone or enter the details manually, then fill in travel information and a short health declaration; nothing photographic is required unless you are separately arriving from a Yellow Fever risk country, in which case a vaccination certificate may be requested. Submit within 3 days of arrival and keep the confirmation to show on landing.
What the TDAC actually asks for
The form collects personal details (passport number, name, date of birth, nationality), travel information (arrival and departure dates, flight or vehicle number, accommodation in Thailand), and a short health declaration. Passport data auto-fills from an MRZ scan or manual entry; a photo of your face is never part of the form. The TDAC is mandatory for all foreign travelers entering Thailand regardless of visa status, including visa exemption and visa on arrival, not only those on a full visa.
Why some sites list TDAC photo requirements anyway
Paid third-party filing sites and generic travel-document guides sometimes pad their TDAC pages with standard passport-photo advice to look thorough, the same pattern seen on other free-to-file arrival forms. The official immigration.go.th portal's own FAQ does not list a photo among the required fields for the standard card.
